Added Rear Disk Brakes to our Race Teryx Today

 

Installed a rear brake conversion to our race Teryx.  With 30" tires, we needed more stopping power.  This conversion kit is available through Streamline Performance Braking.  The uprights and hub are made by Billet King.

The kit uses factory Kawasaki Teryx front calipers and brake rotors and includes the necessary brake lines to connect to the brake line going to the rear wet brake.  The factory rear brake is eliminated and you end up with two disk brakes.  The installation is straightforward and took us about 3 hours.

After the press event in Parker, a day trip to Glamis then pre-run at Soboba, our new Polaris RZR XP 4 needs some love. Time to wash her up!

Rear Brake Conversion for our Race Teryx

The Kawasaki Teryx comes with a single wet brake for the rear. Does a decent job with factory sized tires and stock weight. But we are running 30" tires and a few hundred pounds to our race car. Thankfully, Billet King has a slick brake conversion kit that utilizes the factory front brake calipers and rotors mounted on new uprights for the rear. This will add quite a bit more stopping power! Pro Armor doors on our RZR XP 4

New Tires for our Enclosed Trailer

Did you know that in addition to making ATV and UTV tires, that GBC also makes trailer tires? That's right! And it was time for new tires on our enclosed trailer (already had one blowout last trip) so I went with new shoes from GBC. I will feel a lot better about the drive back to northern California now.

Speed Dumping with our John Deere Gator

Digging out a new area for the compost pile and needed to move the extra dirt out by the pond. Hauled about 20 loads of dirt in 45 minutes with the Gator.  Speed dumping! The Gator's hydraulic dump bed was key to making quick work of this and it kept the Bobcat doing its job instead of driving much slower than the Gator back and forth.

Moving a bunch of panels today. The John Deere Gator 825i doesn't flinch with the weight and the stout bed rails help protect from damage.
